Twitter reveals its team of developers is currently testing its media tweets to display an edge-to-edge image experience on the bird app timeline. This tweak is closely related to the current media files shared as tweets to display as a full-screen experience which is applicable for both images, GIFs, and videos — especially when content is opened.
Nonetheless, other cross social media platforms have purportedly displayed media experience stretched to the edges of the screen to reveal the full content of the media on the timeline without opening the content or zooming in.
Per Twitter’s announcement, this full-screen media experience on the bird app timeline is being tested exclusively for the iOS platform that is also expected to rival the likes of Instagram — the square photo-sharing app tends to be the pioneer of displaying edge-to-edge media on the timeline.
Twitter shared this announcement via the official page that supports the bird app’s development. Twitter Support noted that its upcoming edge-to-edge media display on the Twitter timeline will bolster communication accessed by either texting or sharing media.
