September 3, 2019 San Jose / CA / USA – Close up of Zoom sign at their HQ in Silicon Valley

The web conferencing communications technology company Zoom Video Communications, Inc revealed its new Christmas package dedicated to its free users, respective to the celebrating the Christmas holidays with their loyal users.

Zoom said that its free users could access unlimited virtual media all-through the holidays, usually accessible for a forty-minute time frame.

The communications technology company assures its subscribers that the newly introduced holiday package is primarily dedicated to family and friends deprived of vital communication because of time limitations and the pandemic – to curb the spread of the COVID-19.

The intent to make users access unlimited communication occasioned for the Christmas and New Year season rather than its usual 40-minute time frame entitled for free users that end up interrupting the call when the time is due.

The 2020 pandemic season seized the world’s socio-economic operations. The pandemic boosted digital platforms’ efficiency to actualize increased revenue – digital media such as Zoom have also experienced 60% growth since the uprise of the pandemic.

The technology Zoom uses for processing video communications has influenced government social distancing policy’s compliance by bringing the distant world in unison via its virtual communication platform due to the pandemic.

As a means of celebrating the festive season with their global subscribers, the virtual communication company said that removing its time limit for its free subscribers is accessible to their users worldwide.

The pandemic influenced the acceptance of performing regular activity online. People who isolated themselves for safety reasons not to contract the virus further encouraged other people to socially gather via the internet to make further arrangements with friends and family globally.

Among other significant accomplishments of the internet’s functionality at this pandemic season, it also enhances the accessibility to shop online (for those who didn’t embrace it) and logistics operations worldwide.

A spokesman for Zoom said “Whether coming together on the final day of Hanukkah, celebrating Christmas, ringing in the New Year, or marking the last days of Kwanzaa, those connecting with friends and family won’t get cut short.”

However, in the socio-technology industry, WhatsApp messenger revealed its developers’ team on a mission to amplify its desktop features that process voice and video calls. This business strategy poses a threat to rival high profiled companies like Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, and others in the video conference sector.

The instant messaging platform said that its intention to modify its desktop feature is to advance with the progressive evolution and not intending to compete.

The extension of its call time limit for free subscribers is valid through the end of March 2021.
