YouTube has reportedly deployed the developed short version of its video  platform to rival the likes of TikTok, Triller, VSkit, etc. Although TikTok appears to trend exceedingly well amongst other short video platforms — it is a no-brainer that YouTube short is expected to compete with TikTok directly.

YouTube announced its short TikTok-like video platform is now available for global use. At first, YouTube’s Shorts launched in India testing its capabilities with beta users. Google decided to expand its availability adding nothing more than 26 countries including, European countries, the USA, and Nigeria.

YouTube’s short video has completed one year of existence, although the video blog company still has its Shorts platform in its beta phase. Still, YouTube made its TikTok-like version available in all the countries where YouTube itself is actively in business.

It worth noting that both YouTube and TikTok are trying to play catch up with trendy features to maintain consistency in the social media industry. The Search Giant aims to integrate short clipped video productions with the default YouTube that features 99% of lengthy content.

At the same time, TikTok has reportedly developed lengthy video content to feature as a YouTube experience. TikTok originally produces snappy, and strange viral clips — ByteDance its parent company decided to extend its video timing to last for three minutes tops.

On the other hand, YouTube has been exploring interesting features to keep its users woke and active. YouTube noted its short platform serves as a quick link to convert a YouTube video to a shorter version. For contrast, short creators on YouTube can easily add audio directly from an existing video.

While TikTok has attempted to rival YouTube by extending the default time of creating a video. TikTok has also included its services to feature in-app TV, such as Android TV.
