X Rolls Out “Grok AI” to All Users — Free X Users Have Limited Access

X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, has announced that it is globally rolling out its flagship chatbot, Grok AI to both premium and free subscribers.

This report indicates that active X users on a free account no longer require a Premium subscription to access the chatbot, which puts Elon Musk’s owned social media to innovate the Artificial Intelligence (AI) landscape with its brand of conversational AI.

I noticed the development this morning while I surfed my page. X’s AI chat bot’s global accessibility to all users tends to be biased towards serving free users judiciously as it serves premium users. As a free user on X, the app limits my access to interact with the chatbot — developers at xAI entitled free users to send up to 10 messages to Grok every two hours.

Grok AI is a Gen-Z chatbot developed by xAI designed to engage users in humorous memes and informative conversations and to rival counterparts AI service providers such as Meta AI, Microsoft’s Bing AI, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini AI, etc.

“The availability of Grok AI to all users demonstrates  xAI’s commitment to making AI-powered chatbots more accessible and user-friendly.”

The chatbot uses advanced natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning algorithms to understand and respond to user queries. Grok AI’s primary objective is to provide users with a unique and entertaining experience, while also offering helpful information and insights.

Until recently, access to Grok AI was restricted to users with a Premium subscription. However, X has now made the chatbot available to all users, regardless of their subscription status. This move is expected to significantly increase the chatbot’s user base and provide more people with access to its engaging and informative conversations.

“The availability of Grok AI to all users has significant implications for customer support. By providing users with a conversational AI-powered chatbot, X can improve its customer support, reduce support queries, and enhance the overall user experience,” xAI spokesperson reported.

The availability of Grok AI to all users (unlimited access for premium users and an hourly limit for free users) has severely increased its chatbot accessibility making it more accessible to a wider audience like its counterparts do whereby users no longer need to pay for a Premium subscription to access Grok AI,

Grok AI’s availability to all users can also help xAI improve its customer support of the X app. Grok users can now interact with the chatbot to resolve issues, obtain information, or provide feedback. With more users interacting with Grok AI, the chatbot’s algorithms will continue to learn and improve, providing a more refined and engaging user experience.

xAI’s developers are reportedly frontliners to the evolution of conversational AI whereby the Grok chatbot is developed with a unique and entertaining experience per X’s media paradigm of user interaction.

The Grok chatbot pushes cutting-edge innovation in the conversational AI landscape to continuously advance. However, Techbooky and the rest of the world anticipate experiencing more cutting-edge innovative applications of this technology in the future.
