The Android version of WhatsApp is expected to launch a redesigned Meta AI interface. The new Meta AI interface for WhatsApp for Android may be on the horizon. Recent reports indicate that the instant messaging service is making a number of changes by altering in a way to improve user engagement and interact with the AI chatbot. According to reports, the new interface has an autonomous voice mode and offers quick start-up recommendations. According to reports, these new functionalities are still under development and are not yet accessible to beta testers. Notably, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, has declared that a major upgrade to Meta AI is planned for 2025. WhatsApp is aggressively trying to enhance the Meta AI experience for its users, according to WABetaInfo, a feature tracker.
In order to help users start discussions, this redesigned interface is anticipated to have an automated speech mode and prompt ideas. Beta testers are not yet able to access these improvements, which are still in the development stage.
WhatsApp is striving to improve the Meta AI experience for users, according to WABetaInfo, a feature tracker. With the most recent WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.5.22 release, the chatbot’s new UI was seen. Beta testers won’t be able to test it out just yet, though, because it is still in the development stage.
The Meta AI button in the bottom-right corner of WhatsApp’s chat screen may now be long-pressed to launch Meta AI in a new interface and activate the voice mode, according to screenshots released by the feature tracker.
This new interface is different from the existing chat window since it takes up a large amount of the screen and prominently shows the chatbot’s logo with the phrase “listening” underneath it. Users can ask inquiries or have conversations with the AI.
The chatbot’s logo and the term “listening” beneath it take up a significant portion of the screen in the new Meta AI interface, which differs from the current chat window. Users may start asking the AI questions or having conversations with it. In order to indicate that the interface is using the device’s microphone, Android also displays a green microphone symbol in the status bar.
By touching the microphone button or entering words in the text box, users may easily transition to the text mode, according to the feature tracker. It is claimed that Meta AI only listens to people while they are in this interface. The session is considered to be over if they close the window. In order to help customers find inspiration, the updated design also includes prompt suggestions.
It is stated that a future update would provide this new interface to users. It’s unclear, though, when that may occur. Notably, this Meta AI overhaul has not been formally revealed by WhatsApp.
Additionally, to show that the interface is using the device’s microphone, a green microphone symbol shows up in the status bar.
The feature tracker claims that users may quickly type text in the specified field or hit the microphone button to switch to text mode. It should be emphasized that Meta AI will only listen to users as long as they are in this interface; if they leave the window, the session will end. Additionally, the updated UI includes inspirational prompt recommendations.
WhatsApp users on iOS and Android devices will be able to access Meta AI with a single tap thanks to this floating icon.
The site posted a snapshot of the functionality in development, which demonstrates how users may communicate with Meta’s AI-based virtual assistant by touching and holding the floating Meta AI symbol in the chat tab.
By pressing the floating Meta AI symbol, however, users may access the Meta AI chat window, which allows them to communicate with the AI assistant through voice and text instructions.
According to a different blog post, users will also be able to end the listening mode by touching the microphone icon or entering the prompt in the text box while the Meta AI-specific panel is active.
When the Meta AI is actively listening, WhatsApp will provide a privacy alert in the status bar. If the Meta AI is listening to the users’ talks, this will provide them a visual cue.
According to the source, WhatsApp is working hard to implement this revamp on its iOS and Android applications, and users will be able to use it in a future update.
