Then someone told you of the new Uber request ride for your loved ones feature in their mobile apps which came in handy and you were able to get your loved ones home safe. It’s that smooth and easy?
Uber announced the news in a blog post on its website, suggesting the feature would let users “request a ride for a loved one” such as a the love one who with limited mobility and have limited access to the internet with no smartphone to sign up can get picked up with ease.
Now, when you set the pickup away from your current location, we’ll automatically ask whether the ride is for a family member or friend. You can then select the rider from your address book, set their destination, and request the ride on their behalf.
Once the driver is on the way, the rider will receive a text message with the driver’s details and a link to track the driver’s route. They’ll even be able to contact the driver directly. The driver will see the rider’s name, and be able to contact the rider directly, too.
Now, all you need to do is set the pickup from your current location, then you will be ask whether the ride is for a family member or friend. You can then select the rider from your address book and location, then set their destination, and request for the ride on their behalf.
