Twitter is ready to roll out significant features to place the bird app on the verge of rivalry with other social media platforms as the tech market becomes more competitive with innovation. Twitter CEO, Elon Musk reported the announcement that voice call and video calls will be coming to the bird app sooner than later to thrill users with more access to communication.
After video calls and voice calls are made available on the bird app, Musk’s ego will heighten to banter rivalry on other social media giants including, Meta’s league of social media platforms, Telegram, Snapchat, etc. At the moment, Twitter is among the social media giant that doesn’t allow users to initiate any form of calls on its media which denote rolling out calls to feature on the bird app is a significant development.
“Coming soon will be voice and video chat from your handle to anyone on this platform, so you can talk to people anywhere in the world without giving them your phone number.” Musk’s tweet reads about adding tweet calls in video mode and audio mode which will also be embedded in its encryption system to avoid eavesdropping tweeters.
Musk’s report/tweet discloses that video calls and audio calls on his social media will roll out with the next app version update Twitter prepares to release when its in-house developers are done with the task. However, the bird app expanded the number of tweaks recently added including the modified tray of emoji that depict users’ reactions can be expressed without preferences via DMs.
Musk is keen on leading the bird app into the brighter limelight with prior promises to roll out encrypted accessibility with direct messaging. The latest version of the bird app already has encryption with direct messages for users to secure their sense of safety as the tweaked tray of emoji rolls out to make DMs more fun.
“With the latest version of the app, you can DM reply to any message in the thread (not just the most recent) and use any emoji reaction. The release of encrypted DMs V1.0 should happen tomorrow. This will grow in sophistication rapidly. The acid test is that I could not see your DMs even if there was a gun to my head,” Musk’s tweet reads.
The current Twitter app update came up with tweaked DM encryption and a broader tray of emoji that can react to any tweet displayed on the app timeline and DMs. Musk said the new emoji system allows users to reply to threads of messages and tweets that are newly shared including old threads of messages and tweets.
