Twitter has a new policy for its premium users subscribed to the Twitter Blue system. This update denotes that the prior Twitter Legacy Verified system and its archaic blue badge design will be outdated for the revamped microblogging system to triumph as the chief executive has projected.
The bird app charges desktop users less than tweeters on other OS platforms such as iOS and Android are entitled to pay up to $11 per month for Twitter Blue’s subscription. The redesigned blue badge Twitter pins on its subscribed users aren’t the only upgrade the bird app management added to the social media. Premium tweeters are entitled to tweet more than i40 characters — Twitter Blue allows users to tweet up to four thousand characters for a tweet.
Twitter’s rejuvenation commenced after the acquisition by the world’s richest man who owns multiple technology companies such as Tesla, Neurallink, and Twitter. At the moment, the bird is Musk’s chief priority which impacted his decision to adjust significant features to denote a capitalist approach to impact Twitter into a revenue generator instead of being an incentive distributor to content creators.
For instance, significant features were made valuable for a price being added to the Twitter Blue system. Aside from the blue badge and lengthy tweet characters, tweeters can access encrypted direct messages, two-factor authentication, tweet editing, and other significant features that Musk is yet to disclose.
Still, Twitter allows ads to flirt around Twitter Blue subscribers’ timelines while other social media restrain ads from popping up on their premium users’ accounts. The bird app also promises that users will experience with bots will be minimal whereby bots will be curbed from impersonating humans with an optimal tag that replicates the blue badge with another colour or shape.
“Starting April 15th, only verified accounts will be eligible to be in For You recommendations. This is the only realistic way to address advanced AI bot swarms taking over. It is otherwise a hopeless losing battle. Voting in polls will require verification for the same reason,” Musk’s tweet reads,
Twitter CEO replied to his tweet that the confirmed that verifying bots will be a monetized tool on the microblogging platform after the fifteenth day of the fourth month of 2023. It becomes less intriguing knowing that Twitter will consistently revamp its in-app policy to keep the social media moderate just like bots will have verified badges in the future — while everything on the bird app becomes monetized.
