Twitch: O Que É E Como Funciona A Plataforma Popular Entre Os Gamers

Twitch is now offering video stories, having already introduced text and photo stories in the past twelve months. Streamers can now record and publish 60-second videos straight from their camera roll or using the Twitch mobile app.

According to Twitch, the latest feature allows streamers to bring their audience along when they’re out and about and not at their streaming setup. Twitch now wants streamers to post their short-form, behind-the-scenes content on its platform in addition to the places where they usually share it, such as Instagram Stories and possibly even TikTok.

More than ten years ago, Snapchat got the story format all around. Since then, almost all of the major messaging and social media platforms available, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok, Telegram, and more from smaller companies, have embraced the feature.

Beyond facilitating Twitch streamers’ access to audiences while they’re out and about, the company views their version of video tales as a means of fostering a relationship between streamers and their audience. Streamers, for example, can pose questions during a video and invite viewers to participate in a poll. Alternatively, streamers can use the @mentions tool to make customized videos in which they highlight new subscribers. Moreover, streamers can post snippets and highlights of their most recent streams using video stories. They can also use it to alert users about schedule changes or to advertise upcoming streams.

To communicate with viewers and keep them informed about their streams and daily lives, Twitch believes that its streamers won’t need to use other social media sites like Instagram. Top creators, nevertheless, are unlikely to put all their eggs in one basket.

Twitch is now making all stories available through the web app, even though text and photo stories were first available only on mobile devices. According to the company, it decided to make stories available online because that is where Twitch users spend the majority of their time.
