Reports have it that Nigerians await the long reported telecom satellite pay TV that was recently launched on the 1st of October, and while briefing newsmen today in Abuja, Michael Eboh & Favour Nnabugwu both TSTV operators, explained to newsmen that the pay TV will commence commercial operations and roll out its decoders to all Nigerians by November 1st, 2017.

While addressing Newsmen the managing director / Chief Executive officer of the company, Mr. Bright Echefu, said from Monday (that’s today) the company will deploy 5,000 decoders to customers nationwide for free and this will cover the 36 states in the country, he also added that the Company staff will also help install the decoder to test reception service of the pay TV.

Bright Echefu,   made this known while briefing journalists on Saturday in Abuja, added that TSTV would launch its services with about 1 million decoders nationwide. Also he said “the commercialisation of our decoders will resume officially on November 1 and by that time, every part of Nigeria would have TSTV decoders for people to buy.

“We are releasing about one million which can go round and our target for the first quarter is one million units…in every quarter we will bring one million units and we are targeting four million units within the next one year.”

He explained there are lots of unscrupulous elements who will want to sabotage and frustrate the company so this is why there is a slight delay in commercial deployment of the nationwide

In this speech he said “We have not commenced commercial sales of our decoders because we are aware of the fact that we are running a business easily frustrated by competition.

“We had applications from over 3,000 individuals who want to be our dealers, so far we have cleared about 750 of the dealers.

“We are currently conducting due diligence checks. We do not want a situation where individuals posing as dealers buy up our decoders and go dump them somewhere.”

Mr Echefu added that the for the next two weeks , there will be verification , and full accreditation of dealers, once that’s is done the decoders will be rolled out.

TSTV is a Pay as you consume model, a TV which provides over 200 rich blend of local and international channels, which includes lots of entertainment, news, sports, kids, health etc. With TSTV, all you have to do is pay as you consume and Mr. Echefu added “it is the first Nigerian TV to launch a pay-as-you-consume, so you can pause your subscription whenever you are travelling.

“It is just N5000 for the decoder and dish and subscription prices range from N200, N500, N1,000, N1,500 and N3,000, respectively”.

“We are here to provide the best products and services. We urge everyone to get their decoders and start enjoying sports, news, movies, documentaries, soap operas and others”.

TSTV will be a huge competition for the other most used decoders likes DSTV, and GOtv, and it will be launched in Lagos, Owerri, Port Harcourt, and Kano but with the aim of reaching all the 36 states in the country soo
