As Samsung’s Note 7 Suffers From A Recall, Tim Cook Wants You To Buy The iPhone 7 Instead In Newly Released Photos

As Samsung continues to grapple with the effects of a recall that CNBC says has wiped about $14b off Samsung shares, Apple CEO Tim Cook is now trying to convince you to buy the newly launched iPhone 7 instead. In a tweet yesterday, the CEO shared a link that seem to show clear photos of a football (American) game in the US even as the nation marked the fifteenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

If you click on the link in the tweet above, it’ll take you to the Sport Illustrated website where you’ll see pictures that were taken by photographer, David E. Klutho. The pictures were taken using the iPhone 7 Plus which features two rare camera and has 2 times optical zoom capabilities. Besides the new Airpods which replace the 3.5mm earphone jack as you know it, the two cameras are thought by analysts to be a major upgrade for the iPhone.

The iPhone 7 doesn’t have two cameras behind and this means it can’t zoom well as the iPhone 7 Plus but that said, it has some a high picture quality output as well.

While you wait for the new phones to arrive US and about 24 other markets first from this Friday, others will start gradually get the new phones soon. The iPhone 7 will start with 32GB of storage for $649 and then onto 256GB for $849. The iPhone 7 Plus is actually is more expensive, it’ll start at $769 for the 32GB version and go up to $969 for the top model.

Samsung had launched the Note 7 on August second; a phone many see as the best Android phone ever because of its iris scanning capabilities among others. Since then they have had to recall about 2.5 million of the phones after reports of devices catching fire while charging. Samsung later said there were issues with the batteries and this has seen their shares tumble about 7 percent so far. To worsen the matter, the US FAA (Federal Aviation Authority) has now asked users not to use the phone during flights.

On the other hand, Apple’s 13 years of continuous growth came to an end in April when it reported a slowing demand for the iPhone and since then multiple reports including the International Data Corporation (IDC) which reported in July that Samsung had indeed surpassed Apple in the second quarter of the year.

Having said that, iPhone 7 has so far received a positive review and maybe they could jump in and fill the void left by Samsung even as the first Android 7 (Nougat) was announced by LG last week too. Even though you’ll be able to upgrade the latest Android OS on the Note 7, the LG V20 is the first to officially get the upgrade.
