The option for users to view the performance of their individual postings on the social network is being tested by Threads. Until now, Threads’ “Insights” feature simply displayed aggregated analytics for every post you made. You may now view metrics for every post using this functionality.
You can sort postings based on how many views, likes, and replies they received if you’re taking the test. Additionally, you can get a breakdown of each post’s views and interactions by followers and non-followers. Additionally, you can check how many people followed you after a particular post.
With Threads changing its algorithm to show users more content from accounts they actually follow, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said the change will help users better see what kinds of posts are connecting with their audiences. Mosseri made the announcement on Thursday.
The most recent modification occurs as Meta has been updating and expanding Threads quickly in recent weeks, most likely in reaction to X rival Bluesky’s growing user base, which just topped 20 million.
Deeper connection with the fediverse, enhanced search capabilities, customizable feeds, the ability to select a default feed, AI-powered summaries of popular subjects, and more are all part of the improvements.
Bluesky is overtaking Threads in terms of daily active users, despite Threads’ substantial user base of over 275 million monthly active users. In order to stay competitive and prevent its users from switching to Bluesky, the Meta-owned social network has been attempting to placate users and introduce new features.
After Musk used the social network to promote President-elect Donald Trump, Bluesky’s popularity skyrocketed as X took a more right-wing stance after the U.S. presidential election.
For the next few weeks, Threads will be implementing a search improvement that will allow users to filter searches by date ranges and individual profiles. With “Top” and “Recent” sorting options, the search function that is now integrated into Threads is a simple keyword search to identify popular subjects, postings, or accounts.
In the revised version, the search bar now has a settings icon that, when pressed, displays the options for “After date,” “Before date,” and “From profile.”
The new filters appear to function as promised, and I have already enabled them for my account.
Though it’s a start, the inclusion puts Threads on pace with rival platforms X and Bluesky, both of which offer more sophisticated searching than this.
Just a few days ago, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said Meta will test these filters and other enhancements to Threads’ search features. Now, it has been confirmed that they are being made available to everyone.
As its rival Bluesky has expanded due to a migration of customers from X, Meta has abruptly begun releasing numerous long-awaited improvements. Custom following feeds, changes to the For You feed algorithm that give posts from accounts you follow more weight, and a test that Mark Zuckerberg disclosed that allows certain users to choose to default to their Following feed rather than an algorithmically ordered one are some of these features.
