The Togolese government’s involvement in technology has placed the west African region on a significant spot on the continental map to have upgraded its seamless visa issuance system via electronic protocols they dubbed Togo Voyage relaunched.

The Togolese government embarked on restructuring the entire process for its e-visa application as a means to innovate its digital ecosystem by exploring advanced technology.

On behalf of the Togolese Republican, the Ministry of Digital Economy and transformation and the Ministry of Security and Civil Protection have partnered to develop the Togo Voyage platform into a contactless system having integrated diverse channels for visa application as a unified system.

Both ministries have shown their commitment to procuring civil protection in real-time and digital-wise. The seamless Togo Voyage is motivated by the Covid-19 outbreak that encourages a real-time platform to embrace the contactless initiative in line with the ministers of Togo’s comment on its e-visa development.

The rebranded Togo Voyage platform is tweaked to a new UI and simplified navigations system for visa application which remains state endorsed. The latest version of the Togolese e-visa platform is seamless from top to bottom that does not mandate travelers’ physical appearance in either the embassy or the immigration office.

The Togo Voyage system requires travelers’ data for visa enrollment such as names, passport numbers, contact details, health information, and other necessities’ to process a trip in or out of Togo.

Above all the requirements for processing a Togolese visa, the ministry was keen on tweaking the feature that allows travelers access medical checkups supervised by the transportation ministry.

For context, the latest edition of the Togo Voyage is tweaked to enroll for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) compulsory checkup that determines a traveler is free of possible related viruses – especially the Covid-19 virus that happens to be compulsory across all borders.

The Togolese visa application via the Togo Voyage is embedded with security policies that leave the e-visa network encrypted against irregularities such as cyberattacks.

The latest version of the Togo Voyage is backed with a full security firewall that protects the Togo Voyage database from identity theft of travelers with verified profiles since it contains users’ data from top to bottom.

The Togo Voyage user profile is encrypted for booking seamless travels transcribed in either English or French for simplified access and to avoid refilling travelers’ information.

In terms of protecting travelers’ information in a single database, the ministry also considered encrypting travelers’ finances since the Togo Voyage also has a built-in payment system that processes PCR payment that is compulsory to be conducted by government-approved health centers tied to the e-visa issuance system.

This is a big win for Togo and the West African region in general posing an unprecedented status quo in Africa in debuting an e-visa platform and thereby joining the list of international countries using the advanced e-visa technology schematics.

The Togolese government is keen on accelerating digital innovation that is expected to attract both local and foreign investors. The Togolese ministers consent to completely innovate its digital economy before 2025 to motivate efficient government indulgence and the modified Togo Voyage platform is the key to actualizing its governmental ambitions.

Meanwhile, only the Togolese aviation system can access the Togo Voyage. The Togolese ministry responsible for this project revealed that Togo Voyage will be available for its entire transportation ecosystem before the 2022 countdown elapses.
