The AirPods are small devices and as such can easily get missing. This can bring deep frustrations to its owners given the deep integration of the AirPods into the Apple’s ecosystem. Until recently, the “Find My” technology couldn’t pinpoint the location of a single missing headphone, leaving users puzzled. Thankfully, Apple has recognized this pain point and addressed it in the next generation of AirPods Pro.
The upcoming AirPods Pro are set to revolutionize how you find your missing earbuds. Each individual AirPod will now have the ability to emit a sound, making it easier to locate them if they’re outside of the charging case. But the improvements don’t stop there. The charging case itself will feature an integrated speaker that plays a louder chime tone when you activate “Find My,” ensuring you can quickly track it down. This added speaker functionality also serves to notify you of a low battery and alerts you when you begin charging your AirPods. Moreover, the new case is designed for versatility, as it can be charged using an Apple Watch charger or a MagSafe charger.
In another long-awaited move, Apple has introduced the option to attach a lanyard to your AirPods Pro case. This practical addition eliminates the need to purchase third-party silicone cases solely for the purpose of hooking your AirPods case onto your belt loop.
The enhanced AirPods Pro, priced at $249, are poised for preorder availability starting on September 9th, with the official release date slated for September 23rd.
These updates make the AirPods lineup which will now feature a USB-C charging even more user friendly.
