Meta and the Universe!
The iteration of the internet to virtual 3D musings is finally here!
But with the coming of Metaverse and its deployment into different facets is not without its own accompanying subsets.
We have read about the Metaverse Coins and Crypto, Metaverse Virtual Estate but in all these web terms, we have the Metaverse hardware: coming just as every new generation of technological innovation is accompanied with a hardware evolution that brings it to life.
With the funding and incentives for hardware for Metaverse on the high pedestal, companies are in the race to be the first to create and deploy the next-gen Metaverse hardware to the market, in the process enabling the next phase of digital connectivity to take off.
Let’s take a look of some of these VR hardware’s:
Smart Lens
The tech-world was ecstatic with the news that InWith Corporation developed the world first ever soft electronic lens. The development which has the Black Mirror-like universe dream closer to global acclaim has the lens using AR displays to reveal different types of information through electronic circuits embedded into the hydrogel body.
The lens would display vital information about the world around us in real-time with the use of smartphones and other devices it is compatible with.
The CEO of InWith Corporation, the makers of the Smart Lens, Michael Hayes in an interview with CNET briefly analysed the function of the lens when he said:
“You’ll be able to see things such as, what is the speed limit on this road? What direction am I heading? Where is the next exit and how many miles away? Everything you could do with your smartphone, theoretically, will be able to be cast into your field of vision,” he added.
The app device allows people with inhibited eyesight tune their vision to see better in close or long-range, depending on their needs.
Haptic Gloves (Feel the Metaverse)
Meta Inc, which changed its name from Facebook Inc to reflect its interest in and investment in the metaverse had few months ago revealed it was working on high-tech haptic gloves that gives users the ability to experience physical sensations felt within the metaverse. The gloves are expected to make VR worlds even more immersive as they incorporate user’s sense of touch into the virtual experience.
The Haptic feedback console controllers also give players an extra layer of feedback while indulging in the video games universe, with the ability to wear such technology seen as the next logical step.
VR Headsets
The replacement of bulky big headsets that has wires locked around with smart VR headsets is one of moves to make the metaverse experience more interesting to the user. Headsets for VR games, with the feel of 3D sounds in music would definitely the metaverse experience captivating when lost in the virtual world. Cumbersome helmet-looking like headsets are now excused for exciting lightweight, easy-to-use, and easy to transport VR headsets, with high-end 3Dsounds
That annoying tucked wire for that headset is no more a worry for you with a VR headset!
Tracking systems and scanning sensors
For the lovers of VR games, the introduction of tracking systems and scanning sensors is the next big thing as they seek to entertain their spirits.
The full-body sensors allows the virtual world appear more appealing with all the physical activities shown in the Metaverse like dance concerts, boxing matches, sports coaching sessions making the user latch more in the 3D experience.
The Tracking systems and scanning sensors would help control the rest of the body that often looks weirdly contorted in ways that break the emersion of even the most graphically appealing games.
TechBooky Note: The Metaverse Hardware is premised on the need to complement the Metaverse experience with equipment that would aid the seamless use of the next-gen technology and according to Kim Young-woo, an SK Securities analyst, ‘the Metaverse development will ultimately depend on next-generation personal VR, AR, and XR devices’, safely implying the need for a an enabling hardware.
To fully realize the vision of an immersive virtual world, primitive hardware’s have to be replaced with new acclimatized 3D-aligning hardware, with companies now more incentivized than ever to make that a reality.
