The Techplus Event Was Huge, With Startups Sharing A Hope Of Survival

If you didn’t attend this year’s episode of Techplus, you sure missed a great one if you are aspiring tech entrepreneur. Techplus Conference & Expo is one of Africa’s largest tech event which brings tech companies from all over the world to meet the needs of a digital generation and create opportunity for knowledge sharing and networking.

This year’s gathering, was a 3 day session of over 90 speakers with the Minister of Communication, Barrister Adebayo and many other innovative speakers in attendance. It featured topics that brother on startups, eSports, eCommerce, women in tech, tech life and media marketing. Its agenda for this year’s event was to strengthen startups in the technology world and it ended as envisaged.

The tech event took place at the Landmark event centre, Lagos. It was a great opportunity for startups and advanced players from various tech sectors including education healthcare and advertising to exhibit their products and services. Brands such as: UBA, Injoo, Stanbic IBTC, Wema Bank, Sage, Samsung, Lenovo, Jumia, Avon HMO, and HP were in attendance as well.

There were positive remarks from different officials present in the event. One of such was Jide Mathew of Advice, a content service and mobile advertising company. He said:

“I am really impressed that the organizers used social media to attract this huge pool of quality young people for a sustained period of three days. We made a lot of contacts and we believe it will translate into quality, long and sustainable business relationships.”

Rakesh Rocque, country manager of Injoo Technology made a similar confession regarding the engagement that transpired between his brand and the consumers. He congratulated the organizers of the tech event for bringing such opportunity their way.

“Not only was it a good marketing platform for effective networking and building business contacts, the classes were informative and educating. We will continue to key into the advantage the Techplus platform provides annually”, he said further.

Also on the appreciative  remarks was that of Nduanya Nonso, Product Marketing boss from UBA. It was the bank’s first experience at the tech event, yet, it saw a positive customer response to their product. He said further, “If such a huge platform is press across major cities in Nigeria, it will help foster consumer-brand relationships.”

The commendation of the event also got a positive remark from the health sector. Kehinde John from Avon HMO applauded the effort of the organizers in sustaining the program for three days and  affirmed that the event was great for startups. “There is hope that Nigeria will survive this kind of world class events.”

In all, the event saw a huge success, many thanks to social media effect. We hope to see a bigger Techplus come 2018.
