Microsoft has revealed that the majorly video conferencing platform will have an end-to-end encryption feature soon. When the encryption feature gets added to Teams, the video conferencing platform will have increased security and users will be able to have private and sensitive conversation using Teams.
“ for conducting sensitive online conversations. To support customer security and compliance requirements, IT will have full control of who can use E2EE in the organization”, Microsoft revealed.
The end-to-end encryption feature will be released in July of this year and is still currently under development. Not too long ago, the tech company announced that the Teams platform will be getting a Standout mode, Reporter mode and Side-by-side mode.
The Standout mode, which was released in March, enables a presenter be at the foreground while the displayed content appears in a floating style on a slide desk. As the name Reporter mode suggests, this mode allows users to display content above their picture; exactly how it appears on a TV news presentation. Side-by-side mode displays the presenter on one side of the screen and the content on the other side.
Microsoft has been revamping its Teams platform for some time now. The company has continually introduced new tools to increase user experience and efficiency in the workplace.
Microsoft Teams was recently redesigned to function like any other instant messaging app. It was launched on Android and iOS for personal use and is completely free. It can be used as a WhatsApp alternative and provides more features than what is available on WhatsApp. With Teams, users can chat with their friends and family just like on WhatsApp and can invite people that are not on the platform to join.
With the incoming end-to-end encryption, Microsoft Teams promises to rise into a formidable platform that offers users the best features as well as an indelible user experience.
