During the WWDC, Apple unveiled previewed highlights of the forthcoming iOS 15 that set to rolls out this fall. The long list of new features and tweaks Apple unveiled anticipates the next iOS update — alongside Siri’s audio on-device integrated with Apple’s custom-owned watch — this tweak enables Siri to process your command without unlocking your iPhone.
This feature is closely related to Apple’s previous “unlock with Apple Watch” feature that starred the same previous iOS 14.5. While this tweaked integration does this better and it is available in a finite version. The iOS 15 beta version is exclusive for developers, Techbooky writes.
Nowadays, it’s a norm to wear a face mask at all times, and this feature also bolsters Apple’s Facial ID to unlock your device while your mask is on — it works best whence your Apple Watch is nearby, exclusive for the next iPhone OS.
It worth noting that this tweak bolsters the previous iOS 14.5 that requires your voice command if Siri detects a face mask. You can either choose to unlock your iPhone commanding Siri via your Watch or the typical facial ID.
“Use the secure connection to your Apple Watch for Siri requests or to unlock your iPhone when an obstruction, like a mask, prevents Face ID from recognizing your Face.” According to Apple, users don’t need to use passwords or Face ID, but with Watch “Your watch must be passcode protected, unlocked, and on your wrist close by.”
iOS 15 highlights during WWDC flagships Apple’s latest conference with interesting features and overhauls — Apple Wallet now digitizes keys that open your doors with just a click on the Wallet app. This Wallet can also contain a travel passport for easy clearance at the airports.
Changes coming with the next iPhone OS include audio on-device Siri, that processes voice command without internet access. This on-device audio can’t process commands that require web search. Apple might surprisingly release this iOS 15 before the set time — since users already anticipate using iCloud+ that assures maximum encryption.
