Here Are The Features Of The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 To Consider Before Buying It

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 is out just before the first year remembrance of the failed  Note 7 will be marked (or not) after fire incidents last year which eventually led the smartphone company to stop production on the problematic device. But for those who may have been disappointed mainly because they bought the Note 7 only to learn that the device was being recalled, Samsung hasn’t forgotten about you. Samsung is giving U.S. Galaxy Note 7 owners a discount of up to $425 on the $960 Galaxy Note 8.

The users must however trade in their current device starting tomorrow the 24th of August on the Samsung website. You may be wondering why they are not offering other users the same discount and I think the basic reason would be that the Note 7 barely reached international shores before they had to be recalled. If you remember, the recall happened after about a month which wasn’t enough time for the Note 7 to hit other markets outside the US and South Korea of course. It usually takes at least 3 to 6 months for devices like those to reach major markets after launch date which may explain why it did not only reach other markets but why the discount is only extended to American buyers of the Note 7.

DeX also comes to this device in that you buy the right dock, you can connect it to a monitor for the desktop experience. In Apps Edge, two apps can be launched together in split screen mode and another feature that has found its way into the new device is to create GIFs easily from videos on the Galaxy Note 8.

You can now handwrite a message or picture and it will be received as is as an animation. Live messages are saved as GIFs so you can easily share across social media and other platforms. By highlighting with the S Pen sentences in other languages, you can now get instant translations in about 71 languages in return. Another thing the S Pen offers is that you can take now take up to 100 pages of notes in what they call the Screen Off Memo mode which is activated when the S Pen is pulled out with your screen turned off.

In all barring any unforeseen circumstances, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is a great buy.

Here are some of its key features for your consideration before you decide to buy it;
