Ever considered Apple’s MacBook Pro laptops are insanely expensive? And you wanted a MacBook Pro alternative with a much more affordable price tag,—Samsung might have something for you.

The company has recently announced a couple of new laptops that are part of its Notebook series which some are calling Samsung MacBook Pro alternatives. This is mainly due to the design of the laptops which some belief closely resemble the MacBook Pros, but putting that aside, these laptops do come with some pretty decent specs that might be of interest to some. The new laptops include the Notebook 7 and the Notebook 7 Force.

“The new Notebook 7 and Notebook 7 Force blend elegant design with impressive power and top-notch speed to give consumers an unparalleled experience,” said in a statement YoungGyoo Choi, Senior Vice President of the PC Business Team, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics. “These devices expand our portfolio in new directions, giving consumers the opportunity to pick the device that perfectly suits their lifestyle.”

Notebook 7 will be offered in 13-inch and 15-inch variants where they will both offer up Full HD resolutions. They will also both be using 8th-gen Intel core processors, and will both support up to 16GB of RAM.  One of the main differences between both laptops apart from their display size is their support, where the 13-inch will come with up to 512GB of storage, while the 15-inch will also come with an additional SSD expandable slot.Admittedly, there is at least one thing Samsung’s Notebook 7 has that MacBooks don’t. The 15-inch models have a dedicated numpad off to the side.

The Notebook 7 Force does have a few things that set it apart. One is that aforementioned black color exclusive to this model. It also has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 to drive its graphics. It is also the only one of the three that can support up to 24GB of RAM—With the device, it hasana expandable storage system and lightning-quick file-reading capabilities, which helps users to manage files and apps with maximum efficiency, as well as its Gigabit Wi-Fi that lets you connect, download and upload at speed2. And with a variety of ports – including USB-C, USB 3.0, HDMI 2.0, and an SD card reader – you can connect all your devices without the need to plug in a single dongle.

Pricing starts at $999 for the regular Notebook 7, while the Notebook 7 Force will start at $1,499. All models will be available for purchase starting on July 26, though you can get a head start and pre-order any variant of the Notebook 7 starting July 12.
