At the last CES event, Samsung announced new TVs consumers would come across later in the year. A few weeks after, we’re beginning to see some of these new TVs unveiled. Samsung announces its officially taking preorders for its sizable 2022 lineup. For the very first time, Samsung unveils its QD-OLED consumer TV, which is now officially called the S95B. Samsung hasn’t even launched all its new QD-OLED TV yet and preorders had gone live on some of it.
The elusive high-end TV Samsung S95B first made a stealth appearance at CES 2022, it is a 4K QD-OLED TV set that has debuted in two sizes: the 55-inch model and the 65-inch model costs. Samsung 4K QD-OLED panel would surely deliver superior colour accuracy at high brightness levels. It will also present even better viewing angles than the regular OLED, a wider colour reproduction that delivers the best picture quality. The new panel technology could mean a new king of TV picture quality, but as you may already know, in the TV world, competition is quite stiff.
Samsung’s QD-OLED showcases the same Neural Quantum Processor 4K features as its other 2022 flagships. These features include the same Tizen software and high-end Q-Symphony sound with Dolby Atmos. The company says that “an OLED brightness booster and perceptional colour mapping to deliver brighter, more accurate highlights and the most realistic, lifelike colours.”
As for the rest of the Samsung lineup, the company is refreshing it’s 4K Mini LED TVs and Neo QLED 8K with software enhancements and support for variable refresh rates up to 144Hz, 14-bit processing, and an improved anti-reflective layer. The 4K Mini LED sets will be the most recommended for users who want a Samsung TV as it’s that Samsung continues to ignore Dolby Vision.
According to The Verge, one of the latest Samsung TV that drives so much curiosity is probably the 2022 edition of The Frame. The new Frame has the ability to switch to a matte finish on the screen, with Samsung promising “virtually no reflections” as a result of the change. That should make a very noticeable difference when the TV is showing artwork when idle, and hopefully, The Frame will come even closer to looking like art decor when streams are turned off. The main question yarning for an answer is if the matte finish will be a distraction from the TV’s video quality. Sizes of the 2022 Frame range from 43 to 75 inches and starts selling at $999.99. Samsung has announced that 32-, 55- and 85-inch sizes will be available for purchases “soon.” Most of Samsung’s 2022 TV lineup is expected to commence shipping in April, though with the exception of the QN95B, with preorder scheduled for May 23rd.
