Internet.org; the Facebook led initiative to beam internet services to remote parts of the world can now be accessed from Senegal making it the sixth African nation to get this service after Zambia, Tanzania, Ghana, Kenya and Malawi and this makes it the 13th country in the world to get the service.
Facebook recently tested its internet beaming drone in the UK just for this purpose.
The purpose of this is to allow access to basic web services like emails and other web applications which is why developers on this platform are prohibited from developing heavy bandwidth consuming applications like VoIP and videos. Put simply, internet.org will act as a proxy for standard web traffic.
There you have it, this service is spreading fast as it stands today.
