In a tweet earlier today, Samsung Mobile uploaded images that left the audience wondering. The first image of the tweet showcased letters, numbers, and symbols in the grid style, while the second image showcased the same grid replaced with coloured circles. The audience was left to the task of matching these characters to the colours. Once this is done, you’ll be able to decode the message on the third image as 081022 — aka August 10th, 2022. This however serves as a confirmation of the date of its next Unpacked event. The event has been scheduled to take place on the said date.
This date lines up follows a recent leak by Evan Blass, who published an image from Samsung, suggesting the launch event for August 10th. The puzzle encoded message is accompanied by a rhetorical question: “When will something greater arrive?”
Although Samsung’s audience is unclear what to expect at the event. However, for now, rumours say Samsung will be announcing it’s next-generation foldable and smartwatches. A Galaxy Fold 4 and a Galaxy Flip 4 were reported with possible designs for both already appearing online. Also reported for release is the the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. The company is yet to officially confirm the launch date for this, but this “puzzle” on Twitter clearly tells us something unusual is coming. New Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 or Galaxy Book laptops could also be slated for the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked. That said, based on precedent, the Samsung August 2022 event should primarily feature new Z-Series phones and the next-generation Galaxy Watch.
Samsung last held an Unpacked event on Febuary 10th. The event witnessed the release of the Galaxy S22 lineup and the Galaxy Tab S8 successors to the 2020 Tab S7 models. The company also held a virtual event called the “Awesome Galaxy A Event” on March 17th. The event witnessed the announcement of some of the coolest Samsung releases. The next Unpacked event would definitely be nothing less. Prior to the event, Samsung will likely share full details of the keynote details.
