Elon Musk, the founder of Space Exploration Technologies Corp (SpaceX), publicly declared the zero-trust he has for the new COVID-19 vaccine. He said, “neither He nor any member of his would take the vaccine even if it were readily available.”
During the interview hosted by on-air personality, Kara Swisher representing the Sway podcast, a subsidiary of the New York Times. Elon Musk who is one of the people on earth under 50, was a guest the Sway podcast show. He told Kara Swisher that I’m not at risk, neither are my kids”.
As the conversation between Kara Swisher and Elon Musk got more in-depth, the Tesla CEO appropriately explained his discretion based on scenarios related to the COVID-19. Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the self-isolation policy established worldwide was a no-win plan, which kept every important activity on hold, especially the world’s economy. He also said that the result derived from the whole COVID-19 Dilemma did alleviate the faith he has for humanity. Musk also noted that the lockdown policy was unethical and even went further to describe it as a simulated house arrest.
Tesla CEO, Elon Musk gave a further explanation that suggested the Self-Isolation policy should have strictly targeted those who were diagnosed and tested positive to . They should be placed under quarantine until the vaccine works correctly, rather than generalizing the whole thing involving both the ones free of the virus and those at risk of the deadly virus.
Kara Swisher, the podcast host, faulted his idea, saying a lot of humans would die, especially within this period. The mortality rate would be on a high if not for the lockdown and to that Musk said “Everybody dies”.
Elon Musk tagged the quarantine as a waste-of-time while talking so much about his SpaceX program. He noted that none of his staff skipped a day since the Pandemic even during the lockdown. He said: We had national security clearance because we were doing national security work, we sent astronauts to the Space Station and back.
Musk, The SpaceX founder, also criticized Bill Gates’s beliefs related to the COVID-19 Pandemic sometime in March, he described Bill Gate’s perspective as “dumb.” As of July 2020, during an interview the Microsoft founder had with the CNBC, Bill Gates indicated that Elon Musk does not have the best idea or knows the usefulness of the vaccines. He also noted that Musk should focus on his SpaceX program rather than get confused in areas that are not his specialty.
Meanwhile, during the conversation with Swisher, Musk said that “Gates said something about me not knowing what I was doing, it’s like, Hey, knucklehead, we make the vaccine machines for CureVac, that company you’re invested in.” Elon musk pinpointed that his company ‘Tesla Inc’ manufactured the CureVac machine the German biopharmaceuticals has been using to develop a vaccine.
As of the previous July in 2020, rumor has it that the two billionaires are lovers for some weird reasons, which happens to be false. but Elon Musk cleared the air saying that: “Billy G is not my lover and the rumour that Bill Gates & I are lovers is entirely untrue.”
