The new iPhone 6S goes on sale from today with projections that the sales of both the 6S and 6S Plus could surpass that of iPhone 6 in its first weekend. Analysts expect about 14 million in sales this weekend alone. There are already reports of queues at Apple stores worldwide.

Buyers of the new phones can upgrade to the new iOS 9.0.1. In the past week alone, some users had complained about apps crashing and malfunctioning. As predicted, Apple has released a version to fix some of the problems.

iOS 9.0.1

The new iPhones 6S and 6S Plus start at $199/36,000 Naira and $299/59,000 Naira. Yes for those of us in Nigeria and Africa by extension, I know the price sounds too good to be true and you’re correct because these prices are for users who want to acquire the devices on contract as is the usual practise in many advanced economies. My guess would be that the price of acquiring the same device in Nigeria would be something from 130,000 Naira. The phones become available from the 25th of this month. Pre-orders stat from the 12th of this month. The phone is really an answer to Samsung’s latest phone.
