Apple just unveiled the 5G supported iPhone 12 with a Super Retina XDR display. The new iPhone runs on the super fast A14 processor and improved resolution. The new design comes with a ceramic shield that is means to protect the glass.
The iPhone 12 as predicted comes with a 6.1 inch display and looks something like the iPhone 5 on the sides even though its edges are flat unlike the iPhone 5 that has curved edges.
Kaiann Drance who is vice president, iPhone Product Marketing said at the unveiling that “”The new all display also has a higher resolution, with twice as many pixels, as iPhone 11. It now has 460 pixels per inch. So text will be sharper for easier reading, and your photo with more detail.”
The display glass is tougher than previous iPhones making it more durable than its predecessors. “”Our incredible materials engineering team has been working closely with our partners at Corning the leaders in glass technology on a new cutting edge material. We call it Ceramic Shield,” she said. “[It] goes beyond glass by adding a new high temperature crystallisation step, which grows nano ceramic crystals within the glass matrix to dramatically improve toughness.”
We are waiting to hear more about the other variants of the iPhone 12 as well as other gadgets of the evening. We will be brining more on the iPhone 12 including all of its features soon.
