Facebook announced yesterday that they hit a major milestone which was that 1 billion used Facebook on Monday. This was announced in a post by the company’s CEO/Founder Mark Zuckerberg. This number represents 1 in 7 people on the planet. Last month, we reported that about 50% of the world’s internet users now use Facebook.
However, for those who are interested in financials, it’s the number of daily active users that matters. Leveraging on this huge user base, the social media giant has launched a series of services to boost its revenue.
