Welcome Apple’s new iPhone SE, a low-cost device that makes any user question the lineup of more expensive mobile devices. The iPhone SE was introduced to the public at the Apple event which took place earlier. This third-generation mobile device is said to be an update of 2020’s model because of its sub-6GHz 5G addition as well as the A15 Bionic you’ll find in the iPhone 13 series. iPhone SE comes in a compact and durable design, and together with iOS 15, delivers a seamless user experience.
The 2022 iPhone SE with a screen size of 4.7-inch, maintains its small form factor, along with some chunky bezels all the way from 2017. With just one 12-megapixel f/1.8 camera on the rear panel, thanks to the newer processor, it gains some software-based photography improvements. Deep Fusion, as well as HDR 4, are now included in its features. These features allow the new iPhone SE to handle high-contrast scenes and noise reduction better. These same features are available in the iPhone 13. According to Apple, the new iPhone SE can boost and improve battery life as a result of the A15 chipset it possesses — not one of the previous SE’s strengths. The new devices will start selling at $429 for the base 64GB model, a bump over the previous model’s MSRP which is sold at $399.
According to Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing“ iPhone SE has been an incredibly popular choice with our existing users and for new iPhone customers, thanks to its iconic design, exceptional performance, and affordable price. This year we’ve built the most powerful and durable iPhone SE yet, with better battery life thanks to A15 Bionic, the same chip as our iPhone 13 lineup that also unlocks advanced camera features like Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, and Deep Fusion,” said Kaiann Drance, “And with 5G, iPhone SE gives users faster downloads and uploads, higher quality video streaming, real-time interactivity in apps, and much more. Delivering the latest generation of technology and performance at this price is something only Apple can do.”
This latest iPhone SE still includes a Touch ID sensor for biometric unlocking purposes while maintaining the IP67 rating for water resistance. Apple has referred to the phone’s front and back panel glass as the “toughest glass in a smartphone.” Qi wireless charging is still supported. Preorders for the new devices start this Friday, March 11th, and the iPhone SE will ship starting March 18th.
