Netflix iOS App Now Allows Full Season Downloads

Do you want to watch the entire “Squid Game” season? More than four years after the feature’s Android debut, Netflix users may now download every episode of a series season with a single swipe while using iOS applications.

The Season Download button for iOS, a much anticipated feature that enables subscribers to download a full season of their preferred series with just one click, was unveiled by Netflix on Wednesday. The function was first introduced by the business for Android in 2021, and it is just now being made available on Apple’s iPhone and iPad. According to a Netflix representative, “We’re now addressing this rollout because we’ve heard that downloading episodes one at a time has been a pain point for iOS members.”

In the Netflix app, you can find the Season Download button next to the Share button on the display page of a show. The possibility to rapidly download every episode from a certain TV series season is available to users. The full season will be accessible through the My Netflix tab’s Downloads section.

The majority of licensed content, including all Netflix original shows, may be downloaded for offline watching. Look for the button adjacent to the Share option on the display page of a program. The complete season will begin downloading immediately as soon as you tap it. Go to the Downloads area under the My Netflix page to control specific episodes or keep track of your downloads.

Travelers and anybody who frequently finds themselves in places with little to no internet connectivity may find the new function very helpful. The method used to be laborious and time-consuming because customers could only download one episode at a time. These days, fans may download larger series, like “Blacklist,” which contains around 22 episodes every season, to simply get ready for their travels.

In unveiling the function, Netflix stated, “No more downloading episodes one at a time — this feature is perfect for members getting ready for a long flight, a cross-country train ride, or simply planning some offline downtime.”

In addition to launching the functionality on iOS, Netflix revealed the top 5 series that Android users have downloaded so far:

Season 1 of “Squid Game”:

“Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”

“Squid Game” Season 2

“One Piece”

“Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”

Following the company’s fourth-quarter earnings, which revealed the addition of a record-breaking 19 million customers, Wednesday’s news follows, Netflix now has 301.6 million members globally, surpassing Wall Street’s predictions in its fourth quarter. When the results were announced, Netflix increased its 2025 revenue prediction by $500 million to between $43.5 billion and $44.5 billion, and its operating margin was expected to be 29%, up 1% from its previous estimate.

In the United States and other regions, the streaming giant also revealed pricing hikes for all of its plans, including the first rise in two years for the ad-supported plan and the first increase in two years for the ad-free Standard plan.
