…Teams’ is becoming a hub that bolsters lucrative performance.

As expected, Teams will flagship Microsoft’s Build 2022 Developer conference since its cloud computing is predictable. This year, the software company introduces more APIs, Teams Store, and tools Microsoft calls collaborative apps for fast app integration. Meanwhile, the developers assigned to the software company enabled Teams to create third-party apps within Teams.

Microsoft’s Build for developers revealed the company’s plans to build apps that plug in the Teams meeting Canvas. While accessing this platform with in-app subscriptions — they will exclusively access real-time.

During an interview with the software company’s head of Microsoft 365, Jeff Tepee said: “if you can build web apps, you can build extensions into Teams chats, channels, and meetings, You can build once, run, deploy anywhere.”

According to Microsoft, the apps its developers created for Teams will be accessible by other OS platforms, including Linux, iOS, Android, etc. The software company is introducing a preview tool that allows users to develop and share apps directly while Teams’ meeting is active.

They also intend to make this a simplified tool that creates and also integrates apps with the likes of Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.

“We’re giving people a toolkit so they can design their own Together Modes scenes. We’re pretty excited to see what people come up with.” Teper’s statement focused on Microsoft’s Together Mode for Teams, which uses AI as a tool to display the profile view of you and your colleagues when an online meeting is active.

It is worth noting that the software company will release Teams’ to be accessible to third-party apps to access real-time audio and video. This feature bolsters note-taking on Teams’ — Teper said it will be available before the year runs out.

According to the current Microsoft chief executive, “Somebody could build a completely custom application that is different than the Teams UI, and that app can interoperate with Teams via voice, video, or chat.”

For instance, a perfect scenario where a health institute tries to integrate its e-health platform with Teams, to enable video communication with patients.

Teams store in-app purchases are also available since Microsoft already allows users to market their subscriptions within the app. “We may make some money in the marketplace, but our primary business model will be the Microsoft 365 licenses and the Azure and Power platform licenses that developers consume,”

Although, Microsoft’s Teper did not disclose if the software company will cut their share off the funds expected to be generated, Still, Teper is more concerned about “building” Microsoft as a home that welcomes apps.

Microsoft’s Teams has reportedly gained millions of active users, while the tech company realized developing apps that can be integrated with Teams is a step towards attaining improvement. This announcement portrays Teams’ as a hub that bolsters lucrative performance.
