Since the Coronavirus outbreak, several corporate organizations have developed a suitable “hybrid working” schedule whereby, employees are expected to share their timing between the office and home activities. Microsoft has devised a means with its mailing service that suites hybrid employees around the globe.
Microsoft is reportedly developing an update for Outlook — this update is relatively matched with the current transition towards working ethics, suitable for hybrid employees and how they split their time.
In addition, Microsoft said: “Whether you’re working from home or meeting with people in other locations, all your meetings will automatically be online so everyone can attend.”
Per the software company’s plan of action, the calendar on its mailing service, Outlook, will be tweaked with links that direct users to join office meetings while surfing the net. Outlook calendar is still developing which is expected to roll out by the end of May.
Still, by the time this service will be fully developed, It will be exclusive for Microsoft’s products such as Teams and Skype. While other third-party video conferencing platforms will access Outlook’s calendar when the software company decides.
Microsoft intends to ease the complex schedule involved with splitting home and office for work timing. Outlook’s calendar is expected to simplify hybrid working ethics similar to a remote-only workforce.
Aside from Microsoft’s tech development, several other companies are devising means to easily suit the hybrid workforce. Bridging the gap between different working conditions according to companies’ schedules — while improving work performance with consistency.
It worth noting that the anticipated Outlook version does not tackle direct defaults with meetings that include in-person and corporate collaboration. This tool serves as an update reminder for its users.
On the other hand, Microsoft’s Teams will be duly utilized to assist Outlook’s calendar since it recently got upgraded and starred the recent Build Developer conference the software company hosted. While Teams is integrated with other apps, it also supports linkage with Outlook’s calendar.
According to the software company, they intend to equip their products with enough tools that bolster user’s activity multitasking with a single tool piece — an effective tool for hybrid employees.
