Microsoft announced Microsoft Stream last week as it continues to ride on the success of its cloud services which has seen the company revenue and profit grow since its Cloud focused CEO came to the reins in February of 2014.

Microsoft Stream is a business video service that will make it easier to access and discover video content in your organisation. Videos have become a big part of our lives as global access to broadband improves and this means that there’s a ton of videos daily that we see online but if you’re in an organisation setting, how do you make videos easily accessible to users? Well, that’s what Microsoft want to achieve with a solution that will be default tool even in Office 365 as they say they intend to build on the success of the Office 365 video cloud service.

“Starting today, anyone with a business email address can sign up for the preview in seconds and begin uploading, sharing and tagging videos in their organization. By taking the “work” out of managing video storage and security, Microsoft Stream enables organizations and their employees to communicate and collaborate with video more easily.” In other words, Microsoft is bringing an organised video streaming system to Office 365 users especially to replace what you see in your dashboard. By being able to tag colleagues, Microsoft is now using the social media concept of tagging to make videos easily accessible to the people it was intended for.

This would be the second announcement in a week that would seek to make the Office 365 experience “better” for users. Bookings was announced within the past week as tool for online appointment scheduling between you and your customers from Office 365 directly.
