Mark Zuckerberg worked with American musician T-Pain to cover the song “Get Low” by the rap group Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz. In honour of their “dating anniversary,” Zuckerberg claimed to have recorded the song under the band name Z-Pain as an homage to his wife, Priscilla Chan.
Mark Zuckerberg, who earlier in the week hinted at their collaboration, claims the cover was recorded as a gift for his wife’s anniversary. And this is said to be one of the most surprising partnerships of the year that has materialized.
The 40-year-old posted on Instagram, “Every year on our dating anniversary, we listen to Get Low, which was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party.” “T-Pain and I collaborated on our own rendition of this lyrical masterpiece this year.”
Zuckerberg ended the message by saying, “Love you P,” a reference to his wife, and informed followers that the song was available on Spotify.
The Facebook creator revealed the emerging cover on Tuesday, November 12, when he posted a photo of the two of them together on his Instagram Story with the message, “It’s happening guys.” Later, T-Pain posted the identical image, calling Zuckerberg “Z” and asserting, “It’s time.”
The post featured multiple pictures of Zuckerberg and T-Pain in a recording studio, an album cover featuring the two of them holding up acoustic guitars, and a picture of the lyrics.
As a result of their efforts, the two have now released a cover of “Get Low” under the stage name Z-Pain.
“Get Low,” which was first released in 2002 as the third single from Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz’s album Kings of Crunk, became the group’s breakthrough single. It peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts, topped the Hot Rap Songs chart, and charted internationally.
Mark Zuck also shared “Every year on our dating anniversary, we listen to ‘Get Low,’ which was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party,” Zuckerberg wrote. “This year, @tpain and I collaborated to create our own rendition of this poetic gem. Listen to the song, which is also accessible on Spotify. I adore you, P ❤️.
On his Instagram post, the American businessman revealed Chan’s response to the song, in which she giggled and called it “so romantic.”
She remarked, “I can’t get quite as low 21 years later, but it brings back a lot of fun memories.”
T-Pain, whose real name is Faheem Najm, is a singer-songwriter and music producer. He posted on Instagram that Z-Pain has arrived. Get Low with me and Zuck right now.
Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz released the song “Get Low” from their Kings of Crunk album in 2002.
Over the past few years, Zuckerberg and T-Pain have developed an odd bond; in May 2021, the former even made an appearance in one of the musician’s Instagram livestreams.
The Florida musician gave Zuckerberg a Nappy Boy Meta chain in July of this year. “Thanks @tpain for the epic new chain,” the tech giant captioned a video of him wearing the chain and describing it as “a vibe.” This is the ideal chance to demonstrate how various items in the same movie can be tracked using the new Segment Anything AI research model that we are releasing today. With this, many entertaining video effects will be available.
His birthplace of Tallahassee also recognized T-Pain on Sunday, November 10, when Mayor John Dailey gave him the Keys to the City and renamed Pasco Street to T-Pain Lane, solidifying the musician’s place as a city favourite.
