Apple releases the latest version of the macOS Monterey for downloads. The software which has been available in public beta for some time now was announced by Apple. The technology giant believes that the software is ready for everyday use. This is an addition to the numerous tech revelations the global tech brand has recently introduced to its users.
At the WWDC event by Apple in June, Apple announced the coming of the latest version of the macOS. Apple says the latest version of the macOS Monterey will be delivering new features that are groundbreaking and be helpful for users to connect in new ways, accomplish more, and work seamlessly across their Apple devices.
Some of the groundbreaking features of macOS Monterey boost include new audio and video features that are designed to make calls feel more natural and lifelike, and new continuity tools like the AirPlay to Mac which will enable all Apple devices to work even better together. AirPlay will be able to play content from iPhones and iPads, as well as Shortcuts, Apple’s iOS automation software. Also coming with it is a new Quick Note feature.
New smart and intelligence feature is the Live Text and Visual Lookup that enhances your search experience. Users can now copy and paste text or information in photos, whether it’s a phone number, a website, an address, and more, Live Text feature gives you an opportunity to easily look up more information. Visual Look Up helps users discover and learn about animals, art, landmarks, plants, and more in photos. Both features will work across macOS, users can leverage on using these powerful on-device machine learning features while having a feeling of data privacy. The Intelligent Tracking Prevention feature now more than ever prevents trackers from profiling users with their IP addresses. A number of technology companies have recently complained about changes Apple has made to its ad tracking rollouts.
Safari has been improved to give users more control, with Tab Groups feature users have more control over how they browse the web, users to easily save and organize tabs. Apple says this feature is great for planning trips, researching projects, and storing the tabs users visit regularly. The new Tab Groups feature syncs across Mac, iPhone, and iPad, this means users can continue their project from any device anywhere. Users can also easily share tabs with friends and family.
Unfortunately, some of Monterey’s biggest new additions, Universal Control and SharePlay are missing, but Apple promises they are scheduled to come later this fall. According to Apple, the SharePlay is will enable Mac users to have shared experiences of music, TV shows, movies, and more while connected together through FaceTime, while the Universal Control will make it easy for users to work effortlessly across their Mac and iPad. Apple’s Craig Federighi at the WWDC event demonstrated the Universal Control which allows you to control multiple Apple devices including Macs, MacBooks, and iPads, with the same mouse and keyboard.
