LinkedIn Sales Navigator Comes To iOS As A Standalone App

LinkedIn has recently launched a standalone version of its “Sales Navigator” service, which is exclusively available on iOS for now. This new launch follows a significant overhaul of the Sales Navigator that separated it from the primary LinkedIn website, turning it into an independent product. The company had hinted at forthcoming mobile apps following the desktop launch of the revamped social selling platform.

Sales Navigator, for those who are not aware, is a service designed for people who manage and track sales leads through LinkedIn.

The service suggests potential sales leads whom you may connect with, helps you keep tabs on updates and news related to your leads and their companies, and lets you find mutual connections to be introduced to relevant individuals. It further integrates with Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics, enhancing these robust systems.

The new application, now available on iOS, offers real-time updates on accounts and leads, the capacity to view lead profiles and save leads, discover “common connections,” and also enables the reading of LinkedIn InMail while on the go.

The application sports a neat, iOS 7 and 8-compatible look and feel, with ample white spaces, readable fonts, flat icons, large imagery, and simplified navigation.

To utilize the Sales Navigator on mobile, you must have a paid account, just like you would for desktop or mobile web use. The pricing begins at $99.99 per month for an annual plan subscribers, but rises to $129.99 for those choosing to pay on a monthly basis.

However, the app itself is available as a free download.

With Sales Navigator, LinkedIn is joining the recent trend where larger companies separate their core features into different applications on mobile. LinkedIn has previously unveiled (or bought) apps for news reading (via its Pulse acquisition), job searches, recruiting, contacts, among others.
