Apple unveiled iOS 16 and macOS Ventura at the WWDC22 which commenced on Monday 6th June. Apple’s new iOS is one which combines a number of remarkable improvements and upgrades that have not been seen or experienced before. One of the remarkable improvements the iOS 16 has is access to the password for the Wi-Fi network that you are currently connected to. MacRumors reports that the iOS 16 developer preview has an added option that makes it possible to view a Wi-Fi password and even copy it to share with friends or family. Users would first need a Face ID to authenticate or passcode to see or copy the stored password.

iPhone users have one way or the experienced the struggle to share Wi-Fi passwords especially when friends and family visit. Even though your phone is connected to the network, you still have to take the pain of having to search around for the Wi-Fi password. Apple is offering to make that a thing of the past with the new operating system. When you open up the Wi-Fi section of the Settings app and then tap on the network you are connected to, there’s a new “Password” option.

Wi-Fi password sharing has long been an easy task on iOS as long as the other party connecting to your network also uses an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. This change is for everyone as soon as iOS 16 hits the public. For now, iOS 16 has been marked to debut later in Fall, but before then, the operating system will be spending this summer in beta testing. iOS 16 includes major improvements that are smart and deliver Apple users an all-new experience, The improvements include an improved lock screen with widgets, and some welcome updates to Messages for the typo-prone users, which a number of us considerably fall under, a powerful Live Text feature, shared iCloud photo libraries, and much more.

The lock screen of iOS 16 adds a new appearance for the notifications panel as it appears differently. Instead of piling up across the screen that every user is used to, they will now “roll in” at the bottom of the screen. All this and much more, make up the new iOS 16.
