Huawei is a Chinese multinational networking, telecommunications equipment, and Services Company headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong. It is the largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer in the world, well known for its high specs smartphone.
Honor is a sub-brand of Huawei, so super specs device tend to drip down into new Honor handsets from similar Huawei handsets.
Last year’s Honor 9 was an award-winning affordable flagship smartphone. Its successor for 2018 has now been announced at the global launch event in London and it’s called the Honor 10.
The Honor 10 is the company’s latest flagship phone at a great price. Here is all you need to know about the new phone from Huawei
Honor 10 price and release date.
The Honor 10 was unveiled in China in April 2018, then released on 27 April. It’s priced at 2599 yuan (£290, $414) for the 64GB model, or 2999 yuan (£336, $478) for the 128GB model.
In the UK it’s £399 for the 128GB model, which is the only storage version coming to Europe. And It’s available to buy right now.
Honor 10 design and screen.
The first thing to note about the new device is that there is the same “notch” design at the top of the screen that we’re now seeing on a lot of Android phones. Notches, to be truthful and they’re hardly intrusive when they’re minimal in size like this; the Honor 10’s is a lot smaller than the notch on the iPhone X. .
Honor 10 screen display.
Honor 10 screen is a 5.84-inch, 19:9 aspect ratio Full HD (1080 x 2280 pixels) IPS LCD screen. Yes, there’s a notch, it has a Front-facing under-glass fingerprint scanner. It comes in UK colours: Phantom Blue, Phantom Green, Glacier Grey, Midnight Black. And Global colours such as : Mirage Blue, Mirage Purple, Gray Gull, Magic Night Black.
Honor 10 camera spec.
The device has a dual camera of 16MP f/1.8 with a colour of 24MP f/1.8 monochrome and a phase-detection autofocus feature, it also has a 24 megapixel front-facing camera, not to forget an AI Camera for artificial intelligence auto screen recognition.
Honor 10 hardware and battery specification.
The Honor handset features HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor, as found in the Huawei P20, which has a good performer. While the international version has a 6GB RAM option, the UK will only receive the 4GB RAM option alongside 128GB on-board storage. The devices also has a 3.5mm headphones jack, a dual SIM, a 3,400mAh battery capacity, a USB-C port for fast-charging.
Honor 10 runs on a EMUI 8.1 software, over the Google’s Android operating system. It adds some fun quirks – such as knuckle gesture controls, screen colour temperature controls, and per-app battery controls.
Honor’s last few top-end phones have been impressive, so the Honor 10 is no exception. There’s a lot to love here, especially considering the price compared with other flagships, and particularly the camera is something to fall in love with, not to forget the display and the overall design is simply epic.
