HP Technology Tour 2015 in Abuja on Tuesday June 16th, 2015

We were at the Abuja version of the HP “Technology Tour” which held on the 16th of June at the Transcorp Hilton.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) kicked off Tuesday’s long day of its Technology Tour 2015, and we’ve gone ahead and collected everything it revealed.

The creation and contribution to technological innovations that would improve Enterprise, SMB, and consumer experience while at the same time having a major impact on the industry were main highlights of the tour.

With 67% of Africa under the age of 30, Nigeria occupying the position as the 10th largest mobile market in the world, and the pace at which technology and innovation are spurring rapid growth in Africa, we can say that the continent is the future of technology. HP claims that their aim is to make a positive impact in Africa and they showcased a variety of devices that could help mobilize a business.

Over the past couple of years, the IT industry has been ever changing. Innovation has transitioned from client/server systems to mobile, social, big data and cloud devices. This “new style of IT” requires systems that are able to provide very fast response times to huge volumes of requests.Industries such as oil and gas, electricity, finance, healthcare, and others require very high levels of mobility, security, and availability.

Their recently released EliteBook and ProBook Business Laptops combine the latest Intel Core processors along with extreme battery life which make them an attractive option for those who need durable notebooks with a lot of performance.

Intel, MTN, and Diamond Bank were also present as they highlighted the various ways in which they assist Small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) in Nigeria. Combining Intel’s hardware/software, MTN’s mobile and internet solutions for businesses, and Diamond Banks’ financing option’s a SMB in Nigeria is available to obtain the most suitable package for their business needs.

To go along with the powerful performance of the systems, the emergence of Windows 10 and its converged platform along with other game-changing features, enables a business in Nigeria to be empowered with the tools in needs to succeed in the market.
