Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Unpacked event was packed with exciting announcements just as we expected and the turnout was lit by releasing the flagship S25 series to the market.

Galaxy S25 Series

The event unveiled three new Galaxy S models which includes the ‘Galaxy S25’, ‘Galaxy S25+’, and ‘Galaxy S25 Ultra’. These devices boast thinner and lighter designs, with new colours like Icyblue, Navy, Mint, and Silver Shadow.

The Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+

The Galaxy S25 features a 6.2-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Galaxy S25+ has a larger 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with the same 120Hz refresh rate.

Both models are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM. The Galaxy S25 offers 128GB and 256GB storage options, while the Galaxy S25+ comes with 256GB and 512GB storage options.

The camera setup on both models includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 10MP 3x telephoto lens. The front camera is a 12MP sensor.

The Galaxy S25 has a 4,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S25+ has a larger 4,900mAh battery. Both models support 25W and 45W charging.

Both models run on Android 15-based One UI 7, feature IP68 dust and water resistance, and come in various colors, including Icyblue, Navy, Mint, and Silver Shadow.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is the flagship smartphone from Samsung, offering top-of-the-line 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering vibrant colours and smooth visuals.

Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, ensuring powerful performance for demanding tasks and games.

Quad rear camera setup with a 200MP main sensor, 50MP telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom, 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and 50MP ultrawide lens. The front camera is a 12MP sensor for high-quality selfies.

5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging and wireless charging capabilities, providing all-day power and quick top-ups.

Available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options, offering ample space for your files and apps. Integrated S Pen for note-taking and productivity, IP68 water and dust resistance, and 5G connectivity.

Samsung highlighted the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s AI-powered camera, large battery, and sleek design. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be available starting February 2025.

Galaxy AI

Samsung’s latest AI offerings take centre stage in One UI 7, focusing on seamless interactions that’s powered by a new engine that enhances data processing and AI capabilities.

Introducing the new analog-style filters, which can give your photos and videos a more film-like aesthetic. Galaxy AI has been enhanced to allow you to create more realistic avatars with more true-to-life facial expressions.

Samsung AI tech allows its users to select and edit specific objects or people in your photos and videos. For example, the Galaxy AI can create a Gif from streaming online or anywhere else by  simply requesting the AI to do the task.

Galaxy AI seamlessly moves across apps to carry out commands and make your trip planning much easier.  This AI-powered feature makes it easier to do visual searches. It can now recognize phone numbers, emails, and web page links and then show a shortcut to quickly perform an action.

Samsung Wallet

Samsung Wallet, previously known as Samsung Pay, has undergone significant updates. One notable change is that older Samsung phones running Android 9 or earlier will no longer receive Samsung Wallet updates, although the app will continue to function as usual.

The updated Samsung Wallet now supports digital keys for select Audi cars, allowing users to lock or unlock their vehicles using their Galaxy phones. Samsung Wallet has expanded its capabilities to include boarding passes, loyalty cards, and gift cards.

Galaxy S25 Edge

Samsung’s to-do list has the Galaxy S25 Edge on board as the highly anticipated smartphone that is expected to be released later this year.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is rumored to be the thinnest phone in the Galaxy S series. It is expected to have a flat-frame design with rounded corners, similar to the rest of the Galaxy S25 series models.

The biggest difference is the redesigned rear camera module, which appears to have a Galaxy Z Fold 6-like elevated platform. The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
