Google Updates Pixel Studio with AI for Human Image Creation

As part of its March Pixel Drop, Google upgraded and released an intriguing upgrade to its Pixel Studio app that allows users to create photos of themselves from Pixel devices that were compatible. The upgrade ultimately gives the artificial intelligence (AI) program the capability to create human-like photos. The software, which is now unique to the Google Pixel 9 series, was initially released in August 2024. The application allows users to use Google’s sophisticated AI models to create graphics and stickers using the in-house AI models of the Mountain View tech giant. Both text and photos may be entered into the program.

A number of noteworthy enhancements targeted at enhancing user engagement are included in the most recent release, which brings Pixel Studio to version 1.5. The ability to create stickers and photos of individuals using text prompts is the most important improvement. Because of worries about the AI’s potential to create racially offensive visuals, this function was momentarily blocked.

In a blog post, the tech giant described the new capabilities in the most recent edition of the Pixel Studio app. The ability to create pictures and stickers of people is the most noticeable innovation. Notably, when many users complained that the Gemini was producing racially offensive photos of people, Google removed its AI models’ capacity to produce human images.

Only recently, with the company’s December 2024 public release of the Imagen 3 image creation model, was this capability activated. The IT behemoth has been gradually implementing this feature on many platforms ever since.

According to Google, the capacity can not accept photographs as input and can only produce images of individuals using text prompts. Furthermore, the app now supports local languages and is accessible in Germany and Japan. It was formerly only accessible in a few countries in English.

According to a 9to5Google source, the update offers a quicker method of creating stickers and updates Pixel Studio to version 1.5. According to reports, the application has included a new floating action button (FAB) on the home page, adjacent to the Create and picture selection buttons. By using a picture as a guide or a text prompt, users are reportedly able to create a sticker directly with this “Create a Sticker” button.

Notably, Google launched the Pixel March Drop features earlier this month. In addition to enhancing the Pixel Studio software, it increased the number of languages supported by Gemini Live to 45. Additionally, the Pixel Screenshots app now has a new Suggestions function that suggests screenshots for users to add to their collection.

In addition to improving the Pixel Studio app, the March Pixel Drop brings a number of other enhancements to Google’s Pixel ecosystem. The fact that Gemini Live now supports 45 languages is one of the major enhancements that increases its usability for people everywhere. A new Suggestions feature has also been added to the Pixel Screenshots app, offering users suggestions on how to arrange their screenshot collections.

Google’s dedication to improving accessibility and user experience across its devices is reflected in these upgrades. Google wants to maintain the engagement and satisfaction of its Pixel consumers with cutting-edge features and functions by consistently enhancing its apps and services.

These most recent developments demonstrate Google’s continued dedication to incorporating AI into commonplace apps while putting user security first. The business keeps improving the Pixel experience and putting consumers on the cutting edge of technology by combining generative AI with improved safety features.
