Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL launch: How To Watch The Event Live, Timings, Everything Else To Expect.

Before now, we had tried to decipher a mysterious Google billboard ad in the US city of Boston that suggested that the Google’s next line of smartphones Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will likely be unveiled on the 4^th of October, 2017.

The long anticipated event of Google’s big hardware will be happening on the 4th of October in San Francisco, this will witness the launch of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. The original Pixel phones were made by Google but designed their new partners HTC.

The technology giant Google, are not just unveiling the smartphones they are also unveiling a long list of other devices such as a high end Pixelbook, a Daydream view VR headset, and  a home mini speaker. Google is mostly known for designing software but for them to be able to compete with smartphone giants Apple, they have had to seek for help in terms of designs and manufacturing from partners like HTC.

The pixel smartphones according to report has been described as alternative to the premium iPhone and the event will start at 9:00am (Pacific Time), it will be a live stream through the company’s YouTube channel, and so all users can watch the event live on online via YouTube.

Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL

The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL phones  will be the main highlight of the event as the smartphones has been long anticipated because of its previous leaks a couple of times on the internet so we probably have an idea some of the devices features to expect.  Google after going into partnership with HTC, has agreed to buy HTC engineering and design team as they were the manufacturers of pixel 2, which means the team will continue to work with Google for their subsequent smartphones designs.

Pixel 2 will come out in two colours which will look quite similar to the first original pixel series and the device has a thick bezels on top and bottom, has a full HD display screen , a snapdragon 835 processor chip, a storage capacity of 64GB and 128GB with an android 8.0 Oreo operating system in it.

While pixel 2XL is manufactured by LG unlike Pixel 2 , it has an edge to edge display , a 5.99 inch AMOLED screen , a 4GB RAM , a snapdragon 865 processor , it  also comes in 128GB storage capacity , and the new latest operating systems android 8.0 in it. Both phones are rumoured to cost about $649 for pixel 2 64GB storage capacity, and pixel 2 128GB goes for 749 while pixel 2 XL which is rumoured will cost about $849 and for a base storage variant it will go for $949 for top end models.

Google PixelBook and Pixel Pen

Google Pixelbook, according to report has a premium metal bodied , a ChomeBook that can be folded into tablets , has a pressure sensitive , a Google assistant for the first time added in it , and it comes in three storage varieties such as 128GB, 256GB , and 512GB. And Just like other previously launched ChromeBook, the pixel has a Chrome OS , due to its rumoured high performance it is expensive and will go for $1, 199 which is compared to the Apple MacBook pro price.

Google Daydream View 2 and Home Mini

Google will likely welcome the second-generation Daydream View 2 headset come October 4th. A new VR headset as said by the company to replace the previous launched Daydream view but according to leaks the Google Daydream view 2 will come in two different colours, a motion controller and is priced at $79.

And the home Mini which is said to be the cheapest among the rest to be launched on the 4th, its price goes for $49, Google home mini speakers are small sized speakers and has a goggle assistant in it. However, prior to the launch it will be in competition with the Echo dot one of the most used affordable speakers.
