Google is finally shutting down its Google+ photos app. In a Google+ post, the internet giant says it would replace this with its new photo app which was announced at its I/O event last May. So starting from August 1st, the service will shut down first on Android and then other platforms will follow suit.
How about your existing photos on the current Google+ platform? You can “easily” port your photos to this new photo app which you can download here. If you don’t port immediately, worry not as your photos will be stored on https://photos.google.com until you manually port your photos to the new app.
