According to 9to5Google reports, Google has decided to toggle the beta version of its Play Services whereby the next generation of Android phones will be able to function like Apple’s Find My network, Techbooky writes.

9to5Google analyzed this feature to functions like a hivemind signal — a programmed tool that seeks to find lost devices with an available reference code that discovers a lost Android. With in-built signals searching for other Android devices will be exclusive for Google’s OS platforms.

While smartphones are gradually becoming easier to track — theupgrade is necessary to track phones without available data, location, or WiFi connectivity — a lost Android phone can be found even when it’s powered off, per Google’s blog Support page

Meanwhile, the current Find My Device system can only discover an active device with either of this connectivity such as WiFi, data, or a location signal is enabled. Google’s description of how this tech supports its Android OS remains vague — it seems the next Find My Device update will come with an interesting tweak Google dubbed Spot.

The Spot appears to be a Messiah seeking lost device — while Google itself is the tech Messiah intending to save humans with its Android system. The tech company is reportedly developing a new tech that uses similar Android networks to notably detect a potential earthquake.

It worth noting that developing an earthquake detection feature is practically different in terms of implementation, while the concept to completion remains closely related.

While the current means to track other device seems complicated, whereby billions of Android devices are active which is likely to interfere with tracking a device, either by the location of the lost device or by accelerometer data that gives detailed information which sometimes can be finite.

Tech specialist has discovered how to toggle this feature in your typical Android devices, that helps to find other phones. Still, the tech company is yet to explain if this tool can find other gadgets other than Android phones.

For contrast, other tech companies such as Apple and Samsung have developed this tool to its maximum whereby it can trace any kind of device, not just phones.
