Missed The Google I/O 2021? Here’s A Highlight Of All Announcements

Google’s 2021 I/O finally kicked off, and the tech company unveiled interesting upgrades on every of their product and service, including their flagship Android OS, its camera, the new interactive AI, Privacy-first standard, and other Google workspace products.

Here is a recap on Google’s live I/O 2021:

  • Android 12 with an intrinsic new look.
  • Google intertwines its workspace.
  • Google merges its Wear OS with Samsung’s Tizen:
  • A camera upgrade centred on skin tone.
  • Google Photos with new improvements.
  • Google’s Chrome now changes website passwords within its password manager.
  • Google Maps AR live displays more details.
  • Google’s Sandbox is set to bolster its machine learning data as Privacy.
  • Android now supports a smartphone as a digital car key.
  • Google’s health launches as a tool that detects skin conditions via its camera.

Android 12 with an intrinsic new look:

The new mobile OS is colourful and allows its users to customize the platform to their taste — the “Material You” design on Android 12 enables a colourful setup to match the device wallpaper. Android 12 also comes with a new Privacy dashboard that also supports other devices with the previous Android 11.

Google interconnect its workspace:

With “Smart Canvas” — the new initiative that supports Google’s Workspace office software that enables its users to access other products while the workspace is active. This action that connects with other products is programmed with “Smart Chips” that enables the app to initiate a Meet video call — a link sourced from either of Google’s Slides, Doc or Sheet.

Google merges its Wear OS with Samsung’s Tizen:

Both tech companies are combining their resources to bolster the efficiency of their wearable gadgets likewise a long-lasting battery life. Google’s Wear OS and Samsung’s Tizen is now called “Wear.”

A camera upgrade centred on skin tone:

The tech company announced its camera is under development to make produced images appear pleasantly — this tweak produces images accurately with the subject’s skin tone.

Google Photos with new improvements:

The tech company said its new photo upgrade combines two images on a motion to actualize “cinematic moments” that appear as a GIF. While the photo pattern in your gallery can also appear as a GIF — this feature is yet to be fully developed.

Another added feature on Photo allows you to hide images via in-built password-protected space. Hidden images will not appear in the gallery while this feature is exclusive for Google’s Pixel devices.

Google’s Chrome now changes other website passwords within its password manager:

Google recently blocked third-party password managers as well as third-party cookies. Now its web browser can change a website’s password without opening the website — Google password manager can access other website’s encryption. The tech company made this feature exclusive to the US, while it global outreach gradually nears..

Google Maps AR live displays more details:

An augmented reality tool that enables and boosts its “Live View” to be more informative with details based on any active restaurants at that particular timing, identifying local landmarks especially for visitors, and forecasting road traffic.

Google’s Sandbox is set to bolster its machine learning data as Privacy:

Google’s new features are most private based — the Private Compute Core they dubbed Sandbox. The data machine learning accumulates and stores are protected by Sandbox.

Android supports smartphones as a digital car key:

A smartphone to substitute a car key will be exclusive for Google’s Pixel and other Samsung smartphones. This feature rolls out with the latest Android 12 OS. While BMW consorted with the smartphone manufacturers on this feature — digital ignition is then supported by UWB and NFC.

Google’s health launches as a tool that detects skin conditions via its camera:

This e-Health platform by Google works as a tool that captures your skin then scans the image and suggests soluble reaction that help the skin problem.

while I/O aired live, Google’s chief executive Sundar Pichai report boasts of 3 billion active users. He noted his company is developing its platform to encourage more users — an improved camera that create a real-time 3D model of a person. Even its AI tech now speaks LaMDA languages.
