Google’s latest tweak on its Chromebook has been previously announced as the Nearby Share tool to feature on its laptops — this tool that enables its users to share contents from their Chromebook to their Android smartphones.

This tool supports other smartphones running on a different OS such as iOS, including other laptops running on Chrome OS can access its new Nearby Share as a tool.

The tech company did not disclose in-depth advantages of using its Nearby Share tool. Still, the tech company intends to inspire the entirety of its user-base with the ability to privately share content — the same sharing experience the initial Chromebook developers have used in recent times.

Google’s Chromebook has been existing in the commercial markets for more than a decade, while both the laptop and the operating system running it has evolved overtime — not forgetting the latest Nearby Share tool that bolsters the response of this computer.

Chromebook has been tweak with several other tools, still, Nearby Share is reserved as the flagship product the tech company introduced earlier in March. This tool can also be effective for sharing content with other devices without being connected to the internet, according to Google.

The tech company looks forward to assisting its users to send and receive content with devices powered by Chrome OS, Android devices including mobile phones and tablets.

Conforming to the tech company, its employees have duly used this tool during its experimental stage, and the results are quite encouraging.

Google employees have reportedly used Nearby Share to transfer contents such as screenshots, links, images, and vacation experiences with spouses — this tool functions properly with Android devices or other devices powered by Chrome OS.

Aside from the mind-blowing fact that Nearby Share works offline, this sharing tool is also encrypted and it cannot reveal sensitive user information — for contrast, other users you have connected with cannot pry into your private documents while Nearby Share is active.

Nonetheless, this sharing tool is not limited to certain contents, whereby it can share a large file such as movies, music, etc.

Nearby Share is also capable of selecting multiple files preparing for sharing — there is no size limitation attached to sharing multiple files, neither does it require lower attachment size while sharing with a PC.

Google noted that new wallpapers have been deployed to its Chrome OS as well as a new notifications notice.
