As part of activities to mark its 18 years of operations in Nigeria, Globacom has unveiled Glo TV, a television streaming service on the web, IOS, and Android apps, providing Video on Demand, catch-up content, and watching of live linear TV. Globacom Limited, commonly known as Glo, is a Nigerian telecommunications company founded on 29 August 2003 by Mike Adenuga According to statements issued the app was for customers on its pre-paid and post-paid platforms who own android and iPhone devices.
Globacom, which will be 18 years, on August 29, unveiled the newest addition at a press conference in Lagos. The telecommunication company said the Glo TV app is powered by its reliable Glo 4G technologies, which ensures a smooth streaming experience for customers. It said subscribers should expect highly sought-after television content via their most preferred devices, whether desktop and mobile. During its press conference, the Nigerian telecommunication company mentioned “Glo TV brings engaging, interactive and premium entertainment content through a rich bouquet of offerings including hundreds of live entertainment programs, music, documentary, news, original shows, fashion, lifestyle, kiddies’ interest channels, and over 1,000 videos as the company continues to partner with content providers to address the needs of more customers across social strata.” The company added “This first-of-its-kind mobile TV initiative will offer the best premium all-round entertainment, news, and sports content and is set to become Nigeria’s one-stop entertainment destination.
Glo TV, according to Globacom, will delight subscribers with a variety of choices including news, education, entertainment, and cartoons. It assured that there would never be dull moments all through. The company said, “We are confident that, with the launch of Glo TV, our network will cater to the content preferences of Nigerians across different socio-economic groups and offer them an exclusive opportunity to experience the best-in-class TV content.”
Channels viewers of Glo TV can catch up with on-the-go including Aljazeera and France24, same for CGTN and RT Documentary, among many others, for those in love with documentary channels. This is in addition to different children’s channels including ZooMOO, English Club TV, and Lollykids, which offers healthy entertainment and robust education to children of all ages, and Nolly Africa, African Movie Channel and Legacy Network for all ages, among others. To be part of the newest addition by Glo, subscribers are required to visit myglotv.com to register and download the Glo TV app free of charge until September 30, 2021. Pre-paid and post-paid subscribers on the Glo network are eligible to register for the app provided they have access to compliant android and iPhone devices.
