In order to ensure your Facebook account is more secure, Facebook is working on a plan to roll out ways to help secure its users’ accounts and also verify user identity.

In a TechCrunch report, Facebook explained that they intend to roll out a video chat device that can be used to recognize a user’s face “We are testing a new feature for people who want to quickly and easily verify account ownership during the account recovery process. This optional feature available only on devices you’ve already used to log in. It is another step that were taking to make sure account owners can confirm their identity,”

Over the Years, the social media giant has tried out various methods to ensure that its user accounts are well secured and safe from hackers and other unauthorized persons. It’s tried methods from helping its users regain access to a locked account by asking the users to identify photos of friends after which they receive a code which will be used to unlock the user account.

Reportedly, the video chat device which the company says it is working on will be also be used to recognize a user’s face when they log into their Facebook account, but prior to the news it but this has also raised some privacy questions where users say the new system could very well be used on to spy on them. But Facebook says users don’t have anything to worry about.

The device as reported will be code named Project Aloha, and is set to be released by Facebook in May 2018. It is a “must get” for Facebook users in order to keep their accounts well secured and protected and also kill any fear of not having to log in to a locked account but with this device as long as it can scan users faces properly, it will allow account authorization with ease.
