When the big music streaming services begin to release their entertaining and interactive lists of all your listening statistics for the year, it’s one of the first signs that the end is near (of the year, that is). The most well-known of these is probably Spotify’s Wrapped, Amazon Music’s Delivered, and Apple Music’s Replay 2024, which was made available to subscribers today.
Everyone, every customer can now access Apple Music’s response to the well-liked feature as customers worldwide wait for their Spotify Wrapped statistics. Apple Music Replay, which is similar to Spotify Wrapped, allows users to reminisce about their musical experiences from the previous year by showcasing their favorite songs, artists, and albums.
These year-end roundups, which provide a customized and comprehensive data-driven overview of the artists, albums, songs, playlists, genres, and stations that each user has listened to throughout the year, are something I truly adore. I’m not being cheeky. However, it doesn’t end there. The major streaming service also creates a list of the best music in the world at the end of the year, which includes interesting statistics like the most-played songs, albums, and artists of the year, along with some entertaining extras like the most-read lyrics and the most-shazam-ed songs (Apple owns the music identification service).
Other highlights from this year’s Replay include “listening streaks,” which display the longest period of time customers have spent listening to music on the streaming service in a row.
Replay will also let you know when you first heard your favourite song, performer, or album of the year.
Additionally, Replay allows users to view their year by month, showcasing their favourite songs, albums, and artists over time. Replay also shows you “top artist streaks,” which indicate if an artist has been your #1 artist of the month for several months in a row.
Apple is introducing two new categories to show users if they are in the top 500 or 1,000 listeners of a certain artist or genre, whereas previous Replays have indicated if the user was among the top 100 listeners.
You may listen to all of your most-played songs in your personalized Replay 2024 playlist after reviewing all of your musical highlights from the year.
According to an Apple Music press release, “2024 was a historic year across the board, as more women reached the year-end global songs chart than ever before, global genres soared to new heights, and many of the top ranks went to artists who had never made the year-end charts before.”
This year, Apple is introducing the Replay experience to its mobile app for customers using iOS 18.1 or later. Previously, users could only access their Replay on the web. If this is the case for you, you can go straight to the Home, New, and Search pages in the Apple Music app to access your Replay.
You can access your Replay online on a PC or mobile device if you’re using Android or an earlier operating system.
Similar to Spotify’s Artist Wrapped, Apple Music is also launching a Replay function for artists this year. Artists can utilize this tool to see how many minutes Apple Music subscribers have spent listening to their music over the previous 12 months. Artists are also able to view their audience size. They may also check which cities listen to their music the most and which of their songs Shazam discovered the most.
Apple Music’s Replay follows YouTube’s 2024 Recaps by one week. Both businesses’ year-end features were released before Spotify’s, probably to gain an advantage in social media sharing of music-related content.
You may view all of your music statistics and the world’s top performers by following these steps to access the Apple Music Replay 2024 roundup.
Apple Music Replay 2024 can be accessed in a few different ways. The first may be done on your PC by going to replay.music.apple.com and entering your Apple ID.
The alternative method involves opening the Apple Music app on your iPhone or iPad running iOS 18.1 or later, then selecting the Home tab.
