Audio Sharing Platform, Clubhouse Reveals New Program Aimed At Content Creators

The pace-setting audio-sharing platform, Clubhouse has announced a new creator accelerator program. This new program is aimed at providing assistance and opportunity for users of the platform who seek to create content. The Clubhouse CEO; Paul Davison revealed the program which is being called ‘Clubhouse Creator First’ at the weekly town hall meeting recently.

In a tweet by Clubhouse that says, ‘We are launching our first creator accelerator program, Clubhouse Creator First. We are looking to support and equip 20 creators with resources they need to bring their ideas and creativity to life’, the company made it’s intentions known.

Clubhouse’s new program- Clubhouse Creator First, is an accelerator program and has been designed by the company to create and maintain a thriving ground for aspiring content creators and will help them be able to host wonderful and life-changing conversations, grow their audience, and monetize the content they create.

Through the accelerator program, content creators will get connected with brands as well as get a monthly stipend that’ll enable them be able to continue creating amazing content.

According to App Annie, an app analytics tracking platform, Clubhouse has about 12.2 million downloads worldwide as at the 9th of March, 2021. The platform had over 3 million downloads alone in the US and about 65,000 downloads in India, as at the 9th of March this year.

The app has hosted personalities like the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg and the World’s Richest man who also owns Tesla and Space X; Elon Musk. This spurred its popularity, and the app has seen impressive growth since then.

According to one of its most recent blogpost Clubhouse revealed that, ‘we are thrilled to begin work on our Android app soon, and to add more accessibility and localisation features so that people all over the world can experience Clubhouse in a way that feels native to them’. Finally, the app should arrive on Android soon as up till now, it is only available on devices that run on iOS.

To become a part of Clubhouse’s accelerator program is quite easy. Interested parties can apply through a form provided by the platform. All that is required is the personal data of applicants and the kind of content they seek to create. Applicants will also be required to send in a three-minute sample audio of the kind of show they want to host, which will then be reviewed by the Clubhouse team and decision taken in regards to the sample taken.

Twitter is already working on a platform that will the same audio-sharing and invites-only feature as Clubhouse, and is calling it Spaces.
