…sooner or later, Clubhouse on Android will be global
Clubhouse for Android users is made available in a beta version which the social media company made exclusive for its US-based users. While Android users in the US sample this beta Clubhouse, the rest of the world will access audio chat on Android soonest — after its current test phase is accredited.
The social media company hinted about the Android beta version of its audio chat Clubhouse via subsequent Blogspot — including additional information about the previous iOS version that rolled out during the pandemic. They also confirmed the Android release at the time when their “town hall meeting” kicked off.
“Today, we are thrilled to share that Clubhouse for Android will start rolling out in beta immediately.” Clubhouse Blogspot writes — “we will begin gradually, with the U.S. today, followed by other English-speaking countries and then the rest of the world.”
Since the social media platform attained the limelight, other social media companies, including, Twitter, Discord, Slack, Patreon amongst others have reportedly developed the audio chat rooms to feature in theirs social platforms. Nonetheless, the Clubhouse fanbase kept anticipating an Android version which is finally here in a finite version at the moment.
Clubhouse on Android has reportedly gained more downloads while its iOS platform downloads decline because other major tech companies have modified these audio chats as an interesting tool — some Clubhouse iOS users have reportedly ditched its services for other platforms with interesting audio chat rooms.
According to Clubhouse, its Android application is currently available for users based in America — an English-speaking country that bolsters the acceptance of this platform. Other English-speaking countries will access Clubhouse on Android sooner or later. Most European countries with English as their Lingua Franca is likely to benefit from the next Clubhouse Android roll-out.
Prior to releasing Clubhouse for global Android users, the company’s development team is expected to analyze and utilize the feedback accumulated from its community. The social media company intends to tweak its platform with other interesting features such as “creating a club” or integrating other “payment options” with Clubhouse — making its social club function at its peak.
In sum, Clubhouse has been added to Google’s Play Store — only US-based Android users can currently host performance or produce audios on its social network. Meanwhile, potential users located in other regions can join a waitlist while anticipating the arrival of audio chat rooms in their respective countries.
